Pastor-cum-entrepreneur Marty Baker, along with his wife, Patty, has taken church giving to a whole new level by installing “Giving Kiosks” in his church’s lobby after noticing congregants just weren’t carry much cash. Now they’re selling the SecureGive kiosks to other churches for $2,000 to $5,000 apiece, plus a monthly transaction fee and a small percentage of each donation. "It's truly like an ATM for Jesus," he says.

SecureGive has seven other churches signed up, mostly in the South, and Baker hopes this form of giving will gain ground in the coming years--it seems like a logical next step in our plastic-happy times. Now what other organizations can use a payment makeover…
